Animal Supplies is Unique
Animal Supplies is Australia’s first and only full-line national distributor of all major pet food brands. From our Sydney-based distribution centre at Eastern Creek, we service and deliver to all points Australia-wide. Understanding our market, as well as its trends and dynamics, has allowed us to revolutionise animal health distribution within this country and take the lead in setting industry standards.

Over the years, Animal Supplies has built a reputation around both excellence in distribution as well as uncompromising customer service. As an independent family-owned business, Animal Supplies offers an agile and adaptable business model with no affiliation to any single retailer or manufacturer. We are proud to be a true family business, not only because several generations are involved in working in and on the business, but more so because Animal Supplies is built on a foundation of family values such as trust, support, collaboration and positive personal relationships. It is to this that we attribute much of our success.

Our Team
Animal Supplies is supported by a team of over 120 dedicated and hard-working employees, who are vital to our ongoing success. We choose a collaborative approach, working closely with our team to develop the ideas and strategies that enhance our working environment and business objectives.

Our philosophy is to provide a supportive, enjoyable and growth-oriented environment where our employees can reach their potential. We take every opportunity to promote from within. Staff retention rates are exceptional with 12% of current employees having worked for Animal Supplies for more than 10 years and a further 30% having worked for the company for between 5-10 years. We also have a high-level commitment to health and safety.

Our Origins
From its humble beginnings in a small Sydney suburban garage in 1993 to our present location, Animal Supplies has seen many significant changes and milestones:

1993 – moved to new premises 500m2 with 10 employees

1994 – published the first ‘Animal Book’ annual resellers pricelist and reference book 
            as well as the first ‘Supa Sale’ specials catalogue

1997 – moved to a larger 900m2 commercial property with 20 employees

2000 – purpose-built a 3000m2 warehouse and office facility with 40 employees

2002 – began distributing premium pet food

2007 – relocated to current 16,000+ m2 facility with 70 employees

2010 – 120+ employees
